Getting Your Vaccine

Everyone age 16 and older is eligible to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine in New York state. at most locations. The state-run site at the Dome Center will allow those 60 and older to walk in without an appointment, and any vaccination centers run by Monroe County will accept walk-ins from any eligible individual.

Check our Appointment Finder and the county-by-county list below to get started. NOTE: Currently, only the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine can be given to those 16 and older. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines are for use in those 18 and older.

Walk-ins are now accepted for all regional health department and state-run clinics and some pharmacies. Those being vaccinated at their pharmacy can make an appointment or check with their pharmacy to see if they accept walk-ins.

New York State Clinics

  • Dome Arena, 2695 E Henrietta Road, Henrietta, NY 14467: This clinic is administering the Pfizer vaccine and is open to those age 16 and older. Those younger than 18 will need parent or guardian consent to be vaccinated. Walk-ins are welcome.   • Former Kodak Hawkeye parking lot, 1345 St. Paul St., Rochester: This site is open to any eligible resident of Monroe County. It is administering the Pfizer vaccine and is open to those age 16 and older. Those younger than 18 will need parent or guardian consent to be vaccinated. Scheduling for the site, a collaboration with FEMA, is available through https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov or via the New York State COVID-19 Hotline: 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829). Walk-ins are welcome.

Monroe County Clinics

These walk-in clinics are administering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine and are open to individuals age 18 and older, including veterans, their spouses and caregivers.

  • Lilac Festival, Highland Park: 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. May 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, and 22. The clinics will be held at the VA Finger Lakes Health Care System tent near the main entrance at 1440 South Ave., near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

These clinics are administering the Pfizer vaccine and are open to individuals age 16 and older. Those younger than 18, with few exceptions, will need parent or guardian consent to receive the vaccine. Appointments can be made at the links below. Walk-ins are also welcome.
